Annual Compassionate Thanksgiving Potluck Celebration

Join us for a vegan compassionate Thanksgiving Potluck by partaking in this feast of thanks and bounty! This is your chance to build community and share delicious nourishment with like-minded people during this holiday time. All are welcome to attend! Most attendees may not be vegan, but please be sure to bring a vegan dish.

Doors open at 4:30. Food eating will begin earlier than usual, with less waiting. This year's (2017) event will be MC'd by improv actor Daniel Chai.

This is an animal-friendly event, so please bring a vegan dish, cut and portioned for serving, with at least 8 servings (=8 big scoops). Vegan means no dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, whey/casein, or other animal byproducts. You don't have to cook--food from a deli is A-OK. Please bring an ingredients list for your dish, and indicate on it if it is also raw and/or gluten-free.

Also, please bring a plate, cup, and cutlery for yourself, and a serving utensil for your dish. (a bag for your dirty dishes would be useful, too)

Once again, we will be serving donated Gardein Holiday Roasts!

About 200 people attended this event last year. It is a family-friendly event, so please bring your loved ones!

This event will feature a fabulous RAFFLE fundraiser. Please bring some $ for a chance to win some amazing prizes, such as restaurant gift certificates and cookbooks. See below.

Entry is by donation, with $5 the average donation. Proceeds from this event will go to cover Meatless Meetup's costs and to the Vancouver Humane Society's Meatless Monday campaign.

ACCESSIBILITY

There is a special entrance for wheelchairs leading from the right side of the parking lot straight into the hall. The accessible washroom (doorway measuring 27″ wide) is located one level up. Don't hesitate to ask a volunteer for any assistance needed.
