In response to our members who haven't been able to afford many of our dinners, we're heading out on Friday, August 24th for fast food at Vancouver's newest veggie restaurant: Tera V Burger (on West Broadway at Bayswater). All meals will be under $9 including tax and tip! If you haven't been able to come out and socialize with us over a meal yet, this is your chance.
Because this is a small restaurant, we're having 3 seatings. Each seating will have 15 people. You can choose which seating you want to attend. All menus will be vegan.
At 6:15 pm, you get to try half of the two most popular burgers on the menu, plus an order of fries all for $7.50 inclusive. (That's a big savings off going there yourself.) RSVP here.
At 7:15, you get to try half of the most popular burger and half of the most popular panini, plus an order of fries for $8.50 inclusive. (Also a big savings.) RSVP here.
At 8:30, you get to try half of the most popular burger, half of the most popular panini and half an order of Thai Chik'n salad and fries for the same price of $8.50. (an even bigger savings!) RSVP here.
The prices above are the prices for the set meal negotiated for you but for each of these seatings you are welcome to order more food at the event. Plus, the owner will give you a deal if you order a smoothie. However, these are the normal order sizes, so you may find this is enough food.
In other news....
In our Where Do You Live poll, East Van is happy to report they are winning 18 votes to 15 over the West side. However, if the West End is added to the West side, their number changes to 23, effortlessly crushing East Van.
PoCo-Coquitlam is annihilating New West, with a stunning 6 to 1 but Surrey-White Rock has them all beaten at 8 votes. Other locations are, sadly, barely represented. (Sorry North Shore!) Please add your vote here so we can get a better sense of where our members live and might like events.
In our Cash Vs. Pre-payment poll, pre-payment is clearly leading over cash among those who care, with the majority of those voting say they couldn't care less and a couple members highly mistrustful of online payments. Please add your vote here.
