This is the AWAKE Mindful Living Community's Meditation and Dharma Day of Mindfulness Practice designed for more experienced meditators (although we'd be honored to be your first full day retreat if you are new yet more fully committed the practice). Led by AWAKE founder Erik Vienneau and a guest instructor, the days include mindfulness practice and talks on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness from the Buddhist Lineage. In between meditation sessions and talks some chant, yoga, walking meditation or other energy/movement practice will be offered. The day also includes a tasty vegan lunch.

The AWAKE Day of Mindfulness Practice (offered the third Saturday of each month with occassional exceptions) is chance to slow down and spend a day mindfully uncovering the true YOU. We are sure you will leave feeling embodied, radiant, peaceful, at ease and ready to connect more deeply with your life and the relationships within it. Enjoy this retreat from every day busyness to experience YOU. YOU are NOT the roles you play, the things you own or the emotions you have. YOU are limitless, pure, peaceful and powerful potential just waiting to be discovered.

How it works…

Mindfulness is present moment awareness. Without a mindfulness practice you most likely spend your days planning the future or worrying about the past. You may be busy trying to get happy by working hard to change external, worldly things like your roles, job, income, material items and relationships. At AWAKE you spend the day coming back again and again to presence. This is where you’ll discover everything you’ve always wanted is already within. You will see directly that you already are complete. Already one with source/God/peace. Throughout your day you’ll be guided by multiple masterful guides to return to your body, breath and peaceful mind. You’ll deeply feel the your sensations, you’ll tune into your mind, you’ll hear the music and see the beauty of your surroundings. You will AWAKE to the true YOU.

Your Guide... Erik Vienneau

Erik Vienneau is dedicated to meeting people where they are along the path of wellness to offer them opportunities to discover a more peaceful and health-filled life. Erik’s passion for mindfulness meditation, yoga and a healthy lifestyle prompted him to create both Yoga Rocks the Park (, Friday Night Yoga Club ( and the AWAKE Mindful Living Community ( which have been become a platform for peace and conscious-community for hundreds of thousands of yoga-enthusiasts across the United States.

When he's not producing an event you'll find him on his meditation cushion, sharing the mindful life with others or keeping it simple and easy with friends and family. He's a mindful living coach and participated in multiple long-term, silent meditation retreats in preparation to share the teachings. The driving force behind Erik’s life is to show others they are pure potential and not the self-limited thoughts that our minds often generate. He's quick to share his life mantra "peaceful minds = peaceful planet" with all.

Guest Guide... Shannon Paige

Shannon Paige, ERYT 500 is Living wholeheartedly as an author, yoga teacher, and mentor of yoga teachers; Shannon is a spoken word artist, poet, sacred storyteller and TedX speaker. She infuses her bodies of work with a fullness of artful living and passion for life on and off the yoga mat. Her instruments of instruction and expression are detailed and clear cuing woven through a fluid progression of imagery, poetry and truth. Shannon encourages and supports the practitioner to unlock secrets held in the human heart, release stuck patterns that no longer serve, and attain new levels of integrated embodiment. She is described by many as being “confidently vulnerable;” as a result, she is one who inspires positive change. Off the mat, she loves to spend time in the sun, wake surf, and run. Based out of Boulder, Colorado from her home studio, Earth, Shannon globetrots to deliver transformative classes, talks, trainings and retreats.

INVESTMENT: $54-$108 sliding scale donation. No one will be turned away.



Please leave time to find parking and be settled in by 8 o'clock. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat and meditation cushion with a blanket and a notebook and pen. The studio has cushions and blankets to share if needed. We will be providing a dairy/gluten-free vegetarian lunch as well.
