Multifamily Meetup - The Growing Threat of Rent Control in California

Details
Rental property owners need to understand the growing threat of rent control in California and the financial impact on their investments. An initiative to establish rent control in the City of Sacramento already qualified for the ballot. At the State Capitol, a bill to impose rent control statewide recently passed out of its first legislative committee hearing. Despite the sound defeat of Proposition 10 last November, another attempt to pass a similar rent control initiative is underway. That’s not all. Other significant restrictions on rental properties are in the works at both the local and state levels. Learn the details of these threats and what is being done to counter them.
