As organizations scale and evolve, the need for clear, structured, and enforceable data governance becomes critical. Whether you're building your first framework or refining an existing program, this session will provide practical insights into managing data effectively, ensuring compliance, and aligning governance with business goals.
Our featured speaker is Matt Curtis, the Data Steward at MAA, who brings a unique blend of finance and data strategy to the table. A UT Chattanooga graduate with a background in Investment Banking and Property Management, Matt has spent the last two years leading the development of MAA’s Enterprise Data Governance Program. His early passion for studying financial data and market trends on Bloomberg terminals led him to pursue a full-time career in data.
Matt will walk us through lessons learned, challenges faced, and successes achieved in real-world data governance—making this a valuable session for data professionals at all levels.
Outside of work, Matt is an avid golfer and a dedicated supporter of Memphis sports. GO GRIZZ!
