About us

Do you feel tired, worn out, or in need of extra support as you navigate marriage alongside a partner facing a mental health or addiction challenge? If so, Mental Health Strong is for you.
Mental Health Strong brings hope, practical resources, and compassionate support to spouses walking alongside a partner experiencing mental health or addiction challenges in this peer-led support group.

Created in July 2020 by Erin Ramachandran, Mental Health Strong was born out of her nearly two decades of walking alongside her husband, Keith, as they navigate OCD, depression, PTSD, job losses, suicidal thoughts, separations, and the many other unexpected challenges that can come with these types of marriages. Their story is not defined only by the hard seasons. There is also deep love, growth, resilience, and hope. Together, they have learned how to navigate crisis, survive difficult seasons, grow through them, and thrive—while also facing the reality of relapses and setbacks.

This support group focuses on the spouse walking alongside on what you can do to strengthen yourself, implement boundaries, care for your marriage, and work toward a healthy and thriving relationship by working on yourself as your spouse learns how to manage their condition. You'll discover evidence-based resources, practical tools, real-life experiences, and faith-filled encouragement rooted in the Bible all designed to help you navigate the journey.

Yes, it is possible to have a thriving marriage, even in the midst of a mental health or addiction challenge. This support group will draw from the award-winning books Mental Health Strong and Mental Health Strong Marriage and its principles, offering faith-based, practical guidance and real-life examples through eight steps. You don't have to walk this journey alone. Find hope, encouragement, and connection with others who understand what it's like to love someone through these challenges.

Let's be Mental Health Strong together!
