Intro to Meteor: The first four chapters of Discover Meteor (free!)

No Meteor experience necessary, basic JavaScript and HTML/CSS experience recommended.

Discover Meteor is one of the most popular introductions to Meteor. It is a project-focused book, explaining Meteor concepts and methodologies by guiding the reader through building a Reddit-style app. The authors offer the first four chapters of the book for free, and I thought it would be great material to base an intro around.

My tentative plan is for everyone to work through each chapter at their own pace alone or in groups, and then chat briefly together after each one to share any comments or questions. You are also welcome to come and work on your own projects, ask questions, and socialize!

The chapters are fairly short. The book itself is a website, and the code for the project is available in a github repo after each step. If you want a preview, the chapters are here (https://book.discovermeteor.com/).
