What we're about

Metroplex Atheists is the longest standing secular organization in North Texas. Beginning as a chapter of American Atheists in the late 1980’s, MA has continued to pursue activism on behalf of separation of church and state. We are an inclusive group of men and women from all walks of life. We hope you will join us at one of our events to meet your new friends.

FoF Cross-List: Dallas Pride Parade

Needs a location

On Saturday for the festival we will have our booth outside and FoF will be at a separate booth inside. On Sunday, our two groups will come together and walk together at the Parade.
The parade will circle around the Cotton Bowl in Fair Park. The parade will start at 2 p.m. However, if you are walking with us you will have to be in the staging area at 1:30. We are in spot #80 in lot 12B. We will be standing around waiting to march.
Things to bring:
Water, sun screen, cool cloths, portable hand-held fans, hats, umbrellas, anything else you need to combat the heat. Also, bring camp chairs if you want to sit as there is no where to sit except the hot asphalt.
There is a SignUpGenius for water, ice, coolers, and snacks. If you are able to bring any of these items, please click the link and put your name down on the item you will bring with you.

Wednesday Social

J. Gilligan's Bar & Grill

Metroplex Atheists has been meeting every Wednesday night for more than two decades. This is our anchor event for new and long-standing members alike. We are the activist group in DFW, but our conversations are varied. We are in the back corner on the restaurant side. The wait staff will point you in the right direction. We look forward to seeing you there!

Virtual Thursday Social

Online event

Not able to join us in person on Wednesdays, no worries. We have a virtual meeting every other Thursday. Please RSVP to the event to get the link to join us.

Please note: We are testing a new virtual meeting platform and tonight's meeting is hosted by RingCentral instead of Zoom. RingCentral has some of the same features as Zoom, so it's easy to join our meetings.
