Are you spending Easter in Oslo? If so, we have a special treat for you!

Matthew Roche, Senior Program Manager in Microsoft, will be joining us Wednesday evening to teach us all about Power BI dataflows. This is a unique opportunity for you to meet and chat with one of the members of the Power BI CAT team. Bring all your questions and join us for a fun, relaxed start to the Easter holiday :)

This meetup will take place in Capgemini's offices at Skøyen. Snacks and mingling will start around 17:00, and Matthew will start his presentation around 17:20.

See you there!

Everything you always wanted to know about Power BI dataflows, but were afraid to ask

By now you’ve probably had a chance to use dataflows in Power BI for self-service data preparation. This new capability allows analysts and business users to create reusable data entities in the Power BI service, enabling data reuse without the need for IT involvement.

This special Easter session will be as much conversation as presentation. Power BI Program Manager Matthew Roche will bring both basic and advanced dataflows topics and demos, but the agenda will be shaped by attendee interests and questions. Please join us if you have questions about dataflows in Power BI, or are just interested in a relaxed discussion about this exciting new feature.

Matthew Roche is a Senior Program Manager in Microsoft’s Cloud + Enterprise Group, where he focuses on business intelligence, enterprise information management, metadata, and data warehousing.

Matthew is currently a member of the Power BI CAT team, where he was saddened to learn that there were not actually any cats and he instead needs to spend his days working with the world’s biggest Power BI customers. Previously he has worked on Azure Data Catalog, SQL Server Integration Services, Master Data Services, and Data Quality Services. Before joining Microsoft, he worked as an architect, consultant, and trainer focusing on ETL, data warehousing, and business intelligence.

When he’s not enabling the world to get more value from its data, Matthew enjoys reading, baking, heavy metal, and competitive longsword combat.

Please note: All times depend on Matthew's flight to Oslo. If there are any changes or delays, we will let you know ASAP!
