Coding Bootcamp Office Hours

Details

Are you a bootcamp student, graduate, or teaching yourself to code with self-study online? Then come on down to the SF Reactor's open bootcamp office hours! This event is intended to serve as a safe space where job searching bootcamp students and graduates can relax and learn. Chat with other students, practice whiteboarding questions, find folks to build projects with, and participate in Q&As with bootcamp grads now working in tech who have lived to tell the tale of getting their first jobs in the industry. Even if you're just looking to meet, network, and make friends with other folks making career changes- there's space for one and all! All bootcamp students, online learners, and self-studiers are welcome!

Note: While this event is intended for job searchers looking for career support post-graduation, we welcome folks interested in mentoring, whiteboard practice, etc! Please DM @ChloeCondon on Twitter if you're interested in being involved.

This is an open hours event. Please join us at any time between 5:00pm - 8:00pm for learning. connecting, and asking questions.

Speaker- Chloe Condon, Cloud Advocate, Microsoft

Chloe is a Bay Area based Cloud Advocate for Microsoft. Previously, she worked at Sentry.io where she was an advocate for their open-source & hosted error monitoring tool, and created the award winning "Sentry Scouts" program. Her unique demos and projects with Microsoft Azure have ranged from fake boyfriend alerts to Mario Kart "astrology", and have been featured in VICE, The New York Times, as well as SmashMouth's Twitter account. Chloe holds a BA in Drama from San Francisco State University and is a graduate of Hackbright Academy. She prides herself on being a non-traditional background engineer, is likely one of the only engineers you'll meet who has played an ogre princess, crayon, and the back-end of a cow on a professional stage (a true "triple threat"), and is passionate about bringing folks with non-traditional backgrounds into tech
