What we're about

Meet with local Horror Fiction, Television, Movies and pop-culture fans in your town! Group views, group reads, discussions, fun genre-themed field trips. Possible group trips to horror conventions in upcoming years.

Must be 21 and over to join and live in the Denver-metro area of Colorado.
Read our "7 Golden Rules for Members" in our message boards and/or Files section.

Our goal is to share our love of all things spooky with others in a safe environment, have lively discussions that our "non-horror" friends would not be interested in, and go on fun outings with fellow horror geeks.

Weekly: Dead By Daylight Group Play

Link visible for attendees

Join us for some Dead By Daylight. Play with us if you have the game, or just watch if you prefer. We will get a group together and play a few matches with random online users or just with each other if we get enough people.

To join or watch the game, logon to our Discord server here: https://discord.gg/2rZU49J23K. Game discussions and streaming will happen in the "Let's Play a Game" voice chat.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed. It supports cross-play, so you will be able to join in the fun whether you play on PC or Console.

April Horror Book Club - Graphic Novel Double-Header

MobCraft Beer Denver

It's time for the MHH Biannual Graphic Novel month!

This time around, we'll be doing two different graphic novels, because they're both pretty short:

Beautiful Darkness, Kerascoet. From the School Library Journal:
"What starts as a common fairy tale trope—Prince Hector and Princess Aurora are having tea the day after a ball—quickly turns dark and disturbing. The prince is charming but self-absorbed, and the princess is somewhat flighty and unprepared, when the ceiling appears to fall in, and they find themselves in a dark forest filled with other refugees, all Borrowers-small. While Aurora and her friend Plim adapt to their surroundings, taking charge and feeding the others they have found."

And secondly, the first volume of Something is Killing the Children (Tynion and Dell'Edera)**. From the publisher:
"When the children of Archer's Peak—a sleepy town in the heart of America—begin to go missing, everything seems hopeless. Most children never return, but the ones that do have terrible stories—impossible details of terrifying creatures that live in the shadows. Their only hope of finding and eliminating the threat is the arrival of a mysterious stranger, one who believes the children and claims to be the only one who sees what they can see."

Both of the titles are available through the public library system, though there may be some wait periods involved. It's also quite easy to get used copies of either online.

We'll be meeting at MobCraft, which is a first-time location for us. There is apparently a free parking garage on hand. If you're unable to find us, please use the Discord server to track us down.

Weekly Movie Night!

Online event

Greetings, horror fans! Let's get online and watch movies together! We'll have a voice chat set up in the MHH Discord server, and the host (myself or someone else) will share their screen and stream something scary for our viewing pleasure.

For now, we'll keep it casual and create a list of titles as a group for me to choose from. We can watch a movie, a few episodes of a series, or maybe there's something else you think we should see.

The feature presentation will start at 7pm, but I'll be on at 6:30pm for pre-movie chat and cocktails. We'll meet in the "MHH Theater 1" voice channel under "Thursday Movie Nights."

--DISCORD??--

If you don't already have a Discord account, you can get one here: https://discord.com/. It's free!

The event link is an invite link to our server. It should not expire. If you have any problems with getting Discord to work, send me a message and I'll see what I can do.

We have text chat channels and voice chat channels set up. Voice channels allow participants to share their screens or use video chat. I've had fun movie and game nights with my friends and family on Discord, and I'm looking forward to hanging out with all of you again. :D
