An interactive and site-specific play, audience members follow a girl named Mel, a social media-obsessed teenager struggling to fit into the harsh world of high school. When she receives a mysterious message from an internet persona named “The Curator” who enlists her in a game called “Blue Whale”, the tasks of this seemingly innocuous exploration morph into something more violent.
Participants will be asked to participate in challenges, interacting with The Curator and other characters directly and indirectly through various forms of online oblivion throughout the evening. Based on true events as a result of The Blue Whale Game, a fatal social media phenomenon, this immersive piece will be performed from the depths of Fort Greene Bar in Denver.
