  • FREE Morning Mindfulness Meditation

    Start your Friday morning off with a 30 minute guided Mindfulness session with Lorraine. The session will follow traditional mindfulness exercises and hopefully help you to start your day off in a focussed, clear and calm way. Lorraine has been a mindfulness practitioner for over 30 years and is also a mindfulness trainer delivering traditional 8 week Mindfulness courses either on a one to one basis and in group sessions.

    As these 30 minute sessions are delivered ONLINE it is always good to have a sense of being part of a group and practising with others. It is always good to see your faces so leaving your camera on helps us all to connect more. See the link below to register for zoom sessions:

  • TAMING THE TIGER: The Friend Workshop with Tara Rokpa Therapist Sarah Wass

    Dr. Akong Tulku Rinpoche, the co- founder of Samye Ling, also left in his legacy the ‘Taming the Tiger’ exercises and the Tara Rokpa Therapy. The exercises and Tara Rokpa were specifically created and developed for westerners both Buddhists and non-Buddhists.

    A group of us are continuing to meet monthly as we progress with the teachings and exercises from the ‘Taming the Tiger’ series.

    In March the ‘Friend’ exercise will be introduced. This exercise explores our attachment to people we feel close to and want to be with. It gives us a chance to gain an understanding of them based on all we know of them, rather than what we want from them.

    You are very welcome to join us.

    This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike.

  • Sunday morning Green Tara Puja

    You are welcome to come and join us for the Green Tara Puja chanted in Tibetan. (Female aspect of compassion working with are fears).Texts are available to follow (in phonetics). Led by Lorraine
    All welcome to attend.

    The Green Tara puja takes places in the Tara Room on the ground floor of 248 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff CF24 2LP. The door will be open up until 8.30am and you can come and wait in our Tibetan cafe. So please arrive in time for the puja as the door will then be closed.

  • Mindful Compassion Practice ONLINE

    This is a 30 minute practise session every Monday for anyone that has completed an 8 week mindfulness course and has moved on to the next stage of the 8 week compassion course.

    You are still welcome to attend if you haven't done any mindful compassion training as long as you know there will be no explanation just gently guided compassion exercises.

    Guided Buddhist meditation class with Lorraine. We will have Buddhist prayers to start and end the session.

    The meditation session is at Kagyu Samye Dzong Tibetan Buddhist Centre. Please arrive 5 mins early so we can show you to the meditation room. The door will be closed at 6pm.
