TestBash, Ministry of Testing's software testing conference, is coming West. There's an exciting range of topics and a wonderful list of speakers that you will no doubt learn tons from. https://ministryoftesting.com/events/testbash-san-francisco-2018

There's always social events around each TestBash too, a chance to get to socialize with the attendees and speakers. You can attend these even if you don't have a ticket to the conference. Please do RSVP here, to give an idea of numbers.

Ever wonder how observability can bring new perspectives to testing? Charity Majors from Honeycomb will cover that, and a lot more.

Testing in Production: Yes You Can (And You Should)

Test in prod: it's a good thing. You already do it! (t's literally impossible not to.) Many categories of problems will never be caught in staging environments -- they will only manifest when code meets real data, real (flaky) networks, other real services and real, unpredictable chaos monkeys, I mean users. By denying this fundamental truth, companies flush loads of engineering energy down the black hole known as "Staging". Their time would be better spent investing in guard rails, their build pipeline, observability, education, and everything about deploying software. So let's talk about what kinds of problems are staging-shaped and what problems aren't, the observability requirements your systems should meet, and how to deploy and test safely in prod, and many other tidbits of knowledge you should probably have before embarking on your journey to test in prod!
