For those who want to join in Catalina or those just off the waitlist who wish to ADD and do camping in Avalon . . . it is $199 Per Person for Fri and Sat night.

To put in perspective . . . Hotels are $350 a night on weekend. That would be $700 for a weekend in hotel on the island. (got and check yourself)

We have THREE options.

Option ONE . . . On April 8th weekend we managed to find a worthy substitute. Catalina Island IN AVALON!!!! Yes. Camping in Avalon! This is (for us) a substantially more costly event. However there will be no additional cost charged if you want to switch over to this April 8th weekend Catalina. We have the space secured. If not everyone transfers over to this event we will on Monday make an event posting opening up for other members. The cost will be $120 a night (240 for the weekend). (Just to put into perspective . . . for Fri and Sat nights. A hotel is $640 for the same weekend).
I can't overstate enough how good it is that we have Catalina as a replacement option. This is a place we have been trying to get to for a LONG TIME. As well as being able to go for the cost being much lower than normal. April and May are regarded as the BEST time of year to go.

MORE about Camping and Catalina

Dogs? Dogs ok on the boat, in camp, and on the trails. For the boat you will need a store bought muzzle.

In closing . . . . I know . . . we all had our heart set on Sequoia. And I an truly sorry the late season storm killed things. Catalina is a GREAT alternative for April 8. AND . . . Jun 3rd Yosemite is another great option.
