DETAILS:
SOC (Security Operations Center) Analysts specialize in identifying and utilizing defensive skills and techniques. With today’s complex technical attacks, SOC Analysts are highly sought after in the Cybersecurity field to mitigate and remedy the damages done by these exploits with the proficient use of tools. This meetup will feature tools and techniques that help detect and defend cyber attacks.
We'll cover and use the following tools; Nmap, Wireshark, Splunk, Security Onion, Nessus, and OpenVAS. Time permitting, we'll also discuss forensic tools such as the Cuckoo Sandbox, and Volatility.
Attendees should bring a laptop with nmap and wireshark installed. All other tools will be accessible from a web browser.
