What we’re about
We're part of a growing community across Australia that's passionate about the future of food and fibre production, and the technologies, businesses, and innovators building that future.
We host semi-regular, free events on all things agrifood innovation- from startup pitches to startup failures, international investors, and lessons & insights from primary producers.
We often record the sessions and replay them on the agtech...so what? podcast.

Agtech Pitch Night: Plant, Pitch, Prosper!
Sydney Knowledge Hub, Darlington, AUWe’re hosting an evening designed to give early-stage founders and aspiring entrepreneurs a chance to practise one of the most powerful tools in their kit: storytelling. No decks. No slides. No polish required.
Just you, your idea, and three minutes at the microphone.
If you are pitching, this isn’t about the perfect pitch; it’s about learning how to communicate your vision clearly and compellingly. Whether you’re still sketching on a napkin, bootstrapping your prototype, or already talking to customers, this is your chance to get in front of a supportive audience and refine your narrative.
If you’d rather be in the audience, you’re more than spectators tonight; your role is to listen generously and give light, constructive reflections that help founders sharpen their story. Keep it short, kind, and specific (we’ll have a framework to help).
The goal isn’t to judge; it’s to help ideas grow. Here’s how it works:
- 5–10 pitches total: Each founder/team gets 3 minutes to share their idea. No question time; save them for networking
- Completely unstructured: No slides, no pressure. Just your story.
- Open to all agtech ideas: From digital tools and farm robotics to biotech, sustainability, or supply chain innovations
After the pitches, we’ll move into networking with drinks and nibbles for the remainder of the evening. This is where the real value lies: meeting other founders, connecting with investors, mentors, and industry folks, and building the community that helps ideas grow.
