Two new-ish shops have hit my coffee radar and so we are headed to 11th Ave!
First Stop: Afficionado Coffee Roasters. This NJ-based roaster has the largest selection of coffee bean-adjacent beverages. Many other parts of the coffee plant can be used to make teas and other stuff, but most often everything except the seed/bean is used for compost. Here, they are experimenting with making drinks from other parts of the plant, such as the red fruit around the seed (cascara) and the pergamino (think parchment that is removed as the coffee bean is roasted, like a pistachio's shell?). We will trying this line of beverages as well as some great coffee.
Next Stop: White Noise Coffee. This place hit my radar after they were rated one of the best lattes in the city by Don Lutz (IG: the_life_of_don) who is rating nyc lattes, one shop per day, over on Instagram. He's almost on a 300 day streak of this. In general, the shops he is impressed by, I'm also a fan of, so I knew when he said this was his top latte in the city, we'd need to stop by.
Looking forward to seeing you!

Fine Print: As always, you lose your $3 RSVP fee if you can't make it. Know that any spare money goes to tipping the baristas. There's always more people who want to come than there are spots. So... if you can't come, cancel and open up your spot to someone else. Rest easy knowing you've increased your coffee karma.
