Sunday Brainy Bookclub - Upcoming Books (March - June 2010)

Hello Brainy Readers!
Have been getting so many inquiries about what books would be upcoming, I spent a couple of hours today roaming the bookstore and my past research and came up with the below. Due to the requests for "something more cheerful" I did my best to give us some variety while still in some cases trying to find continuing themes for our on-going discussions. It's hard to find us short works of great fiction, sometimes, but fingers crossed I think the below will be worth reading and broaden our literary horizons a little.

April Brunch: The Guide (R.K. Narayan) - April 18th
Formerly India's most corrupt tourist guide, Raju?just released from prison?seeks refuge in an abandoned temple. Mistaken for a holy man, he plays the part and succeeds so well that God himself intervenes to put Raju's newfound sanctity to the test. May DINNER: Riders of the Purple Sage (Zane Grey) - May 23rd
Riders of the Purple Sage (1912) has been called the most popular western novel of all time. It is set in the mysterious canyon country of southern Utah, and the rugged landscape the novel inhabits is more than a backdrop for the action.
