Upcoming events (4+)

Christchurch Python Meetup

200 Tuam Street

Join our monthly meetup about all things Python at Environment Canterbury (ECan).

This month Brian Thorne will be talking about Privacy Enhanced Record Linkage. Record linkage is a crucial technique used to integrate data from multiple sources and is becoming increasingly important in the age of big data. In this talk Brian will take a deep dive, describing the fundamentals, demonstrating something approximating current best practice, and finally showing a privacy enhanced version of record linkage.

Doors open at 5:30pm, with the talk starting at 6pm.

Enter the ECan building through the glass doors on Tuam St. The doors need to be opened from the inside but people will be around to do that for you.

The meetup will also be accessible virtually. Point your web browser at https://bbb2.nzoss.nz/b/men-pg1-cot-ai2 to access the session using Big Blue Button.

For those who are interested, we are likely to head out for a drink and/or food somewhere nearby after the meetup.

Don't hesitate to pass this information around to whomever you think may be interested to hear and discuss all things Python.

PS: NZPUG's Code of Conduct applies for our local meetups and the online meetup.com group. Please read it up in case you haven't yet https://python.nz/code-of-conduct

We use a Discourse forum at https://python.chch.tech/ for communication and discussion about anything related to Python or the Christchurch Python meetup. You can also post comments here on Meetup.
