Artfinder (https://www.artfinder.com/) is the art marketplace. Users can buy original paintings, sculptures, limited edition prints and photography from independent artists.

David Dyball, DevOps Engineer, joins us for this week's online meetup to talk through how they're using Neo4j to make recommendations to user about which pieces of art they might like to buy. There'll be lots of Cypher queries!

Making art recommendations

In this talk David will explain how Artfinder have used Neo4j to build their recommendations engine. He'll cover the following:

  • How graph DB's are helping us overcome the burden of choice
  • The difficulties in implementing an efficient domain model
  • The challenges we faced in our specific implementation
