New York LEGO Meetup

Attention New Yorkers! Are you an Adult Fan of Lego? Looking for a Lego User Group in New York City? Today is your lucky day. Now there is an open community for like-minded Lego Visionaries to meet up, hangout and build.

So adult fans of Lego in the Big Apple, come out and join other like mind builders. You don’t have to be prepared or equipped with anything to join us. If you like Lego, bring yourself and a friend. 

We usually meet at a central location in Manhattan.

IMPORTANT Please know that this group is for folks 18+ years old in the Greater NYC area.

Most meet ups will be like the following: build Lego brick in the middle of the table and socialize over snacks and sodas, build awesome Lego pieces, show off sets, trade pieces, and mini-figures, and whatever happens organically.

We will be hosting events such as:

• Stop Motion Workshop

• Create a Scene Together

• Make Storyboard

• There will be a big pile of bricks for free building throughout the afternoon 

• Building contests with Lego prizes

We meet at various locations in Midtown Manhattan.

Photos - members take pics and upload on to the Meetup site.  You need to be comfortable with a picture of you appearing online playing with Lego. 

N.B.  We are an independent Meetup group organised by Lego fans for Lego fans.  We are a recognised Lego User Group, meaning we have a supportive relationship with the The LEGO Group in Denmark. However, we are neither part of the company nor sponsored by them.

Note on Fees: 

Otherwise, we have a pay-what-you-can policy. You can contribute via credit card here on Meetup or in cash at events. Lego can be an expensive hobby and we want this group to remain accessible to everyone. We welcome casual fans,  serious AFOLs, and newbies alike.

Fees go towards snacks, room costs, Lego prizes, and meetup fees.
