What we're about

As an experienced Meetup Event Host, whenever I've attended or led Meetup events, invariably most people are "new to the area" and often single. I'm not new to the area but I wanted to create a group which offers a potpourri of options that encourages socializing with really exploring the popular and hidden gems of the Bay Area and some out of town expeditions. This group will have a big focus on fitness at the same time as we explore in a variety of ways; by foot, biking, and possibly public transportation and train. It is a synthesis of some of my favorite things (hikes, walks, cycling, movies, cultural events, dining) I've done with various Meetup groups all rolled into one. I invite members to contribute their ideas, bring to light cultural events or cool places they wish to explore. Best of all, you don't have to be a newbie to join!

Annual Membership Fee: 10.00 to cover Meetup dues and Organizer planning to be paid at your first event except as otherwise noted.

Redwood Regional Park | 8 miles, 1500' cardio hike

Redwood Bowl Staging Area Parking Lot

Let's explore the trails along the stream and on the ridge of Redwood Regional Park. We'll be hiking away from the crowds that park at Skyline Gate. This will be a co-exploring hike, but my general plan is: West Ridge, French Trail, Steam Trail, Orchard Trail, Canyon Trail (nice big hill,) the rolling East Ridge, Prince Trail and back. About 8 miles. Restroom and snack break at Canyon Park area. Bring All water and snacks. There should be a water fountain at Canyon, but bring extra just in case. IF YOU DRIVE PAST Chabot Space and Science Center, you've gone too far. It's after Roberts Park and before Chabot. Study the map and google the parking lot. Annual Community Membership Fee: 10.00 to help support my Meetup Dues and Planning. This applies to first timers and anyone who last paid March 2018 or before. There is a notation under your name. Thank you.
