With rain in the forecast this week, it's a good time to head back to Wildcat Creek. Always a good hike, it's close, just the right amount of hard, big on adventure and doesn't take the whole day. In ten miles you can see four nice waterfalls, some great scenery, and get a pretty good workout to boot.
It is a large tract of land with six trails that can be hiked in a variety of ways. This time we'll take the usual moderate version. One of the falls has a 5' deep plunge pool suitable for swimming and this may be the last opportunity to swim before next summer; so come prepared to swim. We usually finish the hike in around five hours.
We'll meet at the Foothills IGA grocery and drive as a group the last seven miles to the TH. The final .8 miles is a dirt road for which we need high clearance vehicles.
