Bio
David Shinn is a Customer Facing Data Scientist at DataRobot. DataRobot offers an automated machine learning platform for data scientists of all skill levels to build and deploy accurate predictive models in a fraction of the time Before joining DataRobot, David was a Data Scientist at LexisNexis. David is also an active Kaggle participant, his highest Kaggle ranking is 69th globally.

David earned an MS in Computer Science (specializing in Machine Learning) at the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA in Accounting from Georgia State University. He has an active CPA license in the State of Georgia.

Abstract:
A walkthrough of a gaming industry Machine Learning project, which utilizes technologies such as Gradient Boosting Machines and Spark, to accurately identify toxic players who exhibit traceable negative behaviors that harass and drive away other participants.

Bio
Machine Learning, Deep Learning professional and a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science with threads in Intelligence & People. At Hi-Rez Studios, the creator of the critically acclaimed SMITE, Paladins, Tribes: Ascend, and Global Agenda online games, utilizes deep learning and customized state of the art machine learning algorithms to apply to data in areas such as match making, customer value and customer retention.

At Capital One, utilized machine learning to predict trends in Capital One’s Mobile app usage on the company’s flagship mobile application and also used a state space time series algorithm to detect the seasonal trends in usage and success and failure data.
