About us
We are a group of ordinary folks in Northern Kentucky interested in the outdoors and in protecting the environment. We offer hikes, trail maintenance work in local parks, interesting presentations on regional environmental topics, book clubs, local food events, environmental activism and good old fun with other outdoor, environmental people. We're happy that you're interested in our Group. We are a part of the national Sierra Club, and of the Cumberland Chapter of the Sierra Club in Kentucky. Check back here regularly. We will be posting new events all the time!

Trail Service at Morning View Heritage Area
Morning View Heritage Area, 15168 Decoursey Pike, Morning View, KY, USNorthern KY Sierra Club blazed nature trails at the new Morning View Heritage Area nature preserve in South Kenton County 2016-21. Now we focus on keeping the trails in good shape. This spring we'll assist Kamryn Lee of Kenton County Conservation District (KCCD) with work on the Kreissl Trail. KCCD and Sierra Club will provide gloves, loppers and hacksaws. KCCD will provide trash bags for litter pickup. If anyone has trash stakes or picker-uppers, bring them!
If there's time we can also do some removal of invasive plant species along the trail. Expect the work to be light, casual and self-paced. We hike and talk as we work.
Location is in SE Kenton County just west of the Licking River. For more info and a trail map to print or copy to your smartphone, visit NKY Sierra Club's online Hiking Guide:

Arrive at least 5-10 minutes before 9:30am in the museum parking lot.
RSVP by 5pm Friday Apr 17. If the schedule changes, expect a notification here or by 8am Saturday 4/18.
