Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park Off-Road Bike Ride Aliso Creek and Wood Canyon Trails 2829 Awma Road, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656 Saturday, January 30th, 2021; 10 am to 1 pm You need to read this information to understand the details of the event. RSVP using ONLY the Orange County Singles for Christ Meetup group. https://www.meetup.com/OC-Singles-for-Christ/events/ Join us for our first partial off-road bike ride. This is a casual ride. The planned ride is down Aliso Creek Trail which is blacktop then up Wood Canyon Trail which is a hard-packed dirt fire road. We will turn around and go back down Wood Canyon Trail and ride down Aliso Creek Trail down to The Ranch at Laguna Canyon golf course and return to the parking lot. This is reasonably flat riding for being called off-road. It is our first. People have been asking for off-road so this will be our trial to see how it works. If some people want to ride a trail up out of the canyon, I'm game for extra credit. The distance for the planned ride is only 9.7 miles for the round trip. See the trail route in the photos below. However, this area is so beautiful, we need to stop and enjoy the stream and woods. We will meet in the parking lot across from The Church of Latter-Day Saints. Parking in the lot is $3 or street parking is available on Awma Road and around the corner at Wood Canyon Elementary School. Bring a helmet. Pack a lunch to eat along the ride. I don't know where we will be at lunchtime. There are outhouse restrooms at the parking lot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On a side note, please help us by subscribing to our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX3MoeEvuP_LKOhiAvD7G_g Fun riding within socializing distance is our goal. Come enjoy the company of other like-minded riders. Social distancing is the personal discretion of each rider. Please be considerate and stay home if you have any signs of illness or uncomfortable feelings. This event is hosted by Jack Miller. Please use the Meetup messaging system to communicate with Jack or the participating members. The Meetup platform has a great messaging system so we can interact and discuss parking, lunch, and other issues among all RSVPd members. Dealing individually with a number of texts and emails is just not viable while commencing and during an event. By voluntarily attending, you assume the risks of the event and agree to release our organization, the event host, and other participants from claims for any and all injuries or other losses sustained during this event.
