Welcome to OUTdoors KC - the LGBT+, their friends and family adventuring club of Kansas City. Join us for hiking, paddling, backpacking and more.
OUTdoors KC is a judgement-free Meetup open to all backgrounds, ages, and experience levels. Even though we are originally an LGBT group, friends and allies are more than welcomed. Diversity in all areas, experience level, gender, age, race, all may participate. If you have a four-legged friend you would like to bring along feel free, provided they're under your control and it is not otherwise noted in the event’s description.
Adventuring with us starts with you, and probably the most exciting part about our group is that our outings are just as diverse as our members. Whether it’s leisurely day hikes around town, paddling the Muddy Mo, or multi-night backpacks in the Ozark Mountains we strive to maintain an active year-round calendar. Many of our events will have food and museum add-ons. If you have an idea for an event feel free to make a suggestion in the discussions section.
A minimal fee is collected to cover the annual fees charged to operate of $197. Our outings are planned with thought. Your safety is important, itineraries will be followed set by the event organizers. *Being prepared is the key to enjoying the great outdoors.
