Let's get some fresh air and exercise by exploring the Shoal Creek Living History Museum, which features 19th century buildings dating from[masked]. Although the buildings are closed for this year, we can still walk and look around. Then we can explore some of the Hodge Park trails and maybe even see some old relics. Even this time of year is great for taking pictures so feel free to bring along a camera or simply use the mobile phone camera. Meet at the Shoal Creek entrance gate. Quite possible bringing Fido on this event isn't a good idea, there's live stock featured, buffalo. Park website -> https://www.shoalcreeklivinghistorymuseum.com Trail conditions here -> https://urbantrailco.com. Social distancing will be observed and masks worn. Please bring $1.00 to assist in covering the cost of this Meet Up group. I'll update with the weather closer to the date although right now it looks sunny.
Let’s meetup at Cave Spring Park, just outside the Nature Center, for our first hike of the year. While the park isn’t huge, it’s packed with beautiful trails featuring streams, ponds, and the reason for the park's name, the cave spring. One can enter the cave about 20 feet, your mobile phone's flashlight will help. Let's hope for good weather. Good hiking shoes and layers suggested. Because the time of year we will decide once we are there which trails to take and distance. We'll try for 2 anyway A 1 dollar donation will help towards Meetup fees will be collected. * Masks required on all events until further notice

On Sunday afternoon Snow Creek has a special. 4 to 8 pm for $29, 40 gets you rentals. For $45 you get all that and a beginners lesson when bought on line 24 hours before!! If you've not been to this Kansas City attraction it's a good time for sure. Great for beginners and a good tune up for us black diamond skiers! (haha) Snow Boards available and they also have a tubing park for those more grounded members. Get the chat going on car pooling, what we need etc. We'll meet up there at 3:30 and be on the slopes by 4! There's a nice warming house and bar for those that want to tag along and not necessarily partake in the adrenaline rush. Check out their web site https://www.skisnowcreek.com/
