Open Door Outreach volunteers (Little Rock area)

To participate, it's necessary to sign up at TinyURL.com/helpWCF and then text Dee Dee Moore at 501-256-2233 with your full name and email address (ODO is required to provide the shelter with a list of all participants showing that information). She’ll then coordinate with you for the Confidentiality Agreement to provide the shelter location. We’ll be organizing and sorting donations as well as helping with general cleaning tasks for a short 2-hour shift. This help to Little Rock’s primary domestic violence shelter will undoubtedly be a very fulfilling and rewarding activity!

Just show up at Interstate Park, 3900 S. Arch St, LR, and find the meetup at the utility right-of-way inside the yellow gates between the railroad tracks (if you wish to help with the creek cleanup instead of the highway, then follow signs to the boat ramp). This event is a cooperative effort with Keep Little Rock Beautiful and Friends of Fourche Creek. We'll pick up litter on both sides of the adopted street highway. If you have them, bring a litter grabber and gloves (a limited number will be available if you don't have any). Safety vests, trash bags, breakfast snacks, and water to refill your reusable bottle will all be provided. Because it's along a busy street, volunteers age 16+ are recommended.

This is a Fun Run that celebrates Halloween with a friendly-family atmosphere (there's a Little Monsters kids race in addition to the Half Marathon and 5K). Racers and volunteers are welcomed to wear a Halloween costume, and the best costume wins a prize!
