Guest Speaker Joy Bonaguro - SF Chief Data Officer + Civic Hack Night

Details

Tonight we're excited to host Joy Bonaguro, San Francisco's Chief Data Officer in a civic salon. Joy leads SF's excellent open data efforts and will give us some perspective on the work in the other city by the bay. She will give us some inspiration on their strategic data release, how they are handling the data inventory and data automation. All things Oakland has yet to get a handle on and things we hope will change in 2015 with a new Mayor.

So come meet Joy, talk data and hacking and civic tech with a great data geek and leader in local government.
After the speaker q&q stay for our weekly civic hack sessions inside City Hall. Brigade members and others interested in civic hacking welcome. We provide space, wifi, great peeps and pizza. For a complete projects list, visit openoakland.org

Presenting... Joy Bonaguro will be speaking at Civic Hack tonight. Joy is San Francisco's first ever Chief Data Officer and (awesome data geek). She will be talking with us about open data efforts in SF, new initiatives, how the city is supporting innovation and engaging and we'll have a Q&A time for us to learn more and to consider ways that Oakland can see some of the successes SF has had.

We hope to see you then
