Abstract:
React is a popular web framework. But it is also an architectural pattern. And this pattern is fundamentally different from other popular UI frameworks. It's importance has spread beyond just React. For example, Google recently introduced a new mobile platform called Flutter. Flutter does't use web technology or JavaScript, but it is completely based on the React architectural pattern.
In this session, I'm going to show you how to create a simple React application, through live coding. I want to get you started, in a practical way, with React. But I also hope to convey the key concepts that make React special. In other words, the React architectural pattern.
