What we're about

We set up this group so that families and individuals could discover and explore some of the best natural places in and around Southwest Riverside County. Our associated organization is the Santa Margarita Group of the Sierra Club. Our goal is to give people of all ages and capabilities a chance to learn about nature and come to love it as we do. The cost to participate is free, or just the price of entry to our venue, and we ask for a donation of two dollars per family to maintain this website.

We'll also post details of our monthly speakers, held at 6:30pm on the second Thursday of every month, and our local hikes which are open to everybody. (You don't have to be a Sierra Club member to join in!)

Finally! The Old Town portion of the Murrieta Creek Regional Trail is opening

We've been waiting for this day. The 16-mile Murrieta Creek Regional Trail stretches from Temecula to Lake Elsinore. Many portions are is the process of being developed. Now we can walk on the finished Temecula Old Town section!
The Ribbon Cutting should be a festive event. There will be vendors and face-painting, so bring the family and stroll on the new trail. It begins at 4pm.
See you at the Main Street Bridge.
