We set up this group so that families and individuals could discover and explore some of the best natural places in and around Southwest Riverside County. Our associated organization is the Santa Margarita Group of the Sierra Club. Our goal is to give people of all ages and capabilities a chance to learn about nature and come to love it as we do. The cost to participate is free, or just the price of entry to our venue, and we ask for a donation of two dollars per family to maintain this website.
We'll also post details of our monthly speakers, held at 6:30pm on the second Thursday of every month, and our local hikes which are open to everybody. (You don't have to be a Sierra Club member to join in!)
There will be another fabulous Earth Day Fair at the Vail Headquarters on April 6th (details later).
"Volkswalking in So. California" will have a booth at the Earth Day Fair and provide a map for your 5 or 10 K walk. You can pick up trash along the way.
This is a fun group that has organized hikes/walks, where you get to go at your own pace and begin the hike whenever you want (between 10 and noon for this one). You just sign up and get your map and off you go!
