Kathleen McClung is the recipient of the Rita Dove Poetry Award from Salem College 2012 International Literary Awards. She was also selected by Naomi Shihab Nye as the winner of the 2012 National Poetry Competition sponsored by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. She teaches writing courses at The Writing Salon (https://www.writingsalons.com/).

Mary Ellen Hannibal has focused on science and the environmental writing for over 20 years. She serves as the Chair of the California Book Awards and is the co-producer of Litquake’s (http://www.litquake.org/) Braving the Elements programming, which focuses on books about the environment.

Beth Terry is an Oakland based accountant who after learning about the devastating effects of plastic pollution on the environment and human health began an experiment to see if she could live without buying any new plastic. Since then, she has reduced her plastic waste (and blogged about it (https://myplasticfreelife.com/blog/)) to less than 2% of the national average.
