Come get some work done in the shade at Leddy Park while enjoying the lake view and breeze! Everyone is welcome, so bring a project with you (though no products to vend, unless you have the required permits) and enjoy some camaraderie, sans office. Arrive when you like and stay as long as you want.

Note: Please RSVP via Meetup prior to, or even during, the event to ensure I don't cancel or reschedule. I work for the duration of the event, even if nobody attends, but am more likely to reschedule on a whim when solo.

Leddy Park offers tons of free public parking, a shaded picnic area with picnic tables & grills, ball fields & courts, a beach, and an ice skating rink. There are restrooms in the ice rink and up by the ball fields & courts (though they're not always open as the season comes to a close). The bike path also runs through the park, providing easy access via wheels or feet.

There is good cell service (AT&T confirmed). I'll provide solar power, limited WiFi, limited printing & scanning, basic IT kit (cables, tools, and such), the ability to boil water for coffee & tea, plus garbage & recycling. Please bring food, drink, and whatever other comforts you may need. Chairs are recommended in case picnic tables are full or uncomfortable.

Weather: It's supposed to rain in the early morning, then be partially cloudy with highs in the mid-70s (°F). There's limited shelter in case of rain, but I do have a 9ft camping rain tarp I set up between the trees over a picnic table when needed.

Dogs: Dogs are welcome at Leddy Park, as long as they're on leash and you clean up after them, so feel free to bring your best friend along. My Siberian Husky doesn't always get along with other adult dogs, but loves puppies. She's getting older and is content to just sleep tied up in the shade, so we can easily prevent any issues she might have (it's a big park, after all.)

Parking: Despite the being plenty of parking, there is a short walk (500ft-1000ft?) from the parking lot to the picnic area. There is vehicle access to the picnic area at the right-hand corner of the parking lot (please be extra careful crossing the bike path), for drop-off & pick-up, plus handicap parking.

Please be kind and courteous, leaving the area better than you found it, and--most importantly--enjoy being out of doors.
