Regulatory expectations continue to rise, with increased emphasis on each institution’s ability to respond to the next potential crisis. Regulatory supervision, often through oversight from multiple regulators, has moved beyond the planning phase and is now focused on tools and implementation supported by strong ethics, culture, and related accountabilities at every level of the organization.

We are organizing a panel to discuss regulation technology, best practices, tools and methods for an optimum regulatory setup for both established financial institutions and fintechs companies.

Prior to joining Lending Club, he helped lead the fintech practice at Promontory Financial Group, where he advised both early-stage and mature fintech startups on regulatory risk and compliance matters, with specific expertise in anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, and fraud. Earlier in his career he worked as a consultant for the World Bank Group and Asian Development Bank, helping to create early warning systems for financial risk. Justin holds academic degrees from Princeton, Harvard, and MIT, where he studied politics, finance, and economics.

Ileana Falticeni, VP Regulatory and Compliance

Ileana Falticeni joined Cloud Lending Solutions as Vice President, Compliance and Regulations in June 2016. As Chief Compliance Officer, Falticeni oversees compliance, privacy and information security regulatory requirements and is responsible for the related controls that govern CLS' business activities. In addition, Falticeni acts in a product development capacity, incorporating Compliance best practices into CLS' end-to-end lending software platform.

Falticeni was previously Managing Director, Global Co-Head of Origination and Financing Compliance for Barclay’s Bank in NY and London, and a senior management consultant for Compliance and Regulatory transformation initiatives within Toronto-Dominion Bank in Toronto. As a member of senior management and operating committees reporting directly to GC, CCO and CRO leadership, Falticeni has driven numerous initiatives focused on transforming enterprise compliance activities from process functions into global advisory and forward-looking risk management programs during periods of intense growth, regulatory scrutiny and organizational change.

Previously, Falticeni was an associate with Shearman & Sterling LLP. Falticeni earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude from Georgetown Law and her Bachelor of Science from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C.
