What we're about

Women Who Walk is a monthly 4-8 mile walkabout in and around Portland, Oregon. Each walk is carefully planned (complete with blog post, map, and photo gallery) to showcase a neighborhood, park, garden, or other uniquely wonderful aspects of this great city of ours.

Led by Susan Bradley, intrepid daily walker and community engagement maven for the SkyBlue Portland Real Estate Group.

Sponsored by the SkyBlue Portland Real Estate Group. We buy the lattes! :-)

(Coming soon.) PARKING: Allow plenty of time to scout parking in this busy neighborhood. Check out the Southwest Waterfront Parking Map at https://www.ohsu.edu/xd/about/services/transportation-and-parking/upload/Waterfront_Transportation_Map-2.pdf. Or better yet, avoid the parking hassle and hop the streetcar to the Tillicum Crossing station. LAUNCH TIME: Please arrive by 9:45 a.m. for sign-in and intros. We'll head out at 10:00 a.m. sharp. ATTIRE: Sturdy walking/running shoes, compact umbrella, and layered clothing appropriate for the weather. Plus, anything else you need to survive 2-3 hours stomping city sidewalks and reasonably well-maintained trails (water, energy bar, chapstick, lightweight backpack, adventurous spirit, great sense of humor etc.). FITNESS LEVEL: Expect a moderate 3-mile-an-hour (20-minute mile) pace for this mostly flat sidewalk and boardwalk trek. GUESTS: Yes, of course, you may bring a guest. However, all participants must be registered. Thank you! LIABILITY WAIVER: I'm not a professional walking guide or fitness professional. Although most of this walk is on city sidewalks or paved trails, Portland sidewalks can be broken and uneven in places. Appropriate walking shoes and caution are always advised. By attending this Women Who Walk event, you assume all risks and liabilities. Event coordinators do not assume any liability if an accident occurs. By registering for this event, you agree to these terms.
