I encourage you all to keep walking. Looking forward to resuming our group walks as soon as we safely can. :-) DESCRIPTION: This scenic, energizing walk includes four close-in Northwest Portland neighborhoods (Pearl District, NW District, Willamette Heights, Kings Heights), one city park, one thrilling bridge crossing, and an otherworldly stretch of the northwest hills with breathtaking views of the city below. Walking Portland: Northwest District to Pittock Mansion

REGISTRATION: Opens 1 month prior to event. DESCRIPTION: At 6 miles for Start Point #2, this view-rich walk, with its steep ascent and descent, is definitely challenging. Be cautious trekking it in extreme heat and bring water. Although you'll be mostly on sidewalks and paved roadways, good walking shoes are a must. Watch out for Portland's notoriously broken sidewalks in need of repair. This route, unlike our more typical loop walks, is the same in both directions, with an option (in red) on the way back for a new scene. Stairways are marked and offer alternate connector routes up and down the hills. SAFETY & COMMUNITY: For safety and community, we now require first and last name, your photo, email address, and neighborhood.
