"I have a background in Latin and Greek, and in the last three years or so have learned Sanskrit. People say "if you know Sanksrit you know Pali," but I've looked at a tiny bit of Pali and it doesn't seem so simple. So I'm interested in learning more."

"I am obsessed with learning short phrases in other languages so that I can connect with people across linguistic and cultural barriers. I'm co-founder of a social venture called Mightyverse which we hope will help to save endangered languages."

"I would be interested in learning an Indo-Aryan language. I have always had an interest in language and literature and this would be a challenge."

"Sometimes I'm Buddhist. Sometimes I forget. I did an independent study semester of Pali over a decade ago, & have forgotten most of that, but I speak Thai pretty well, & recognise a lot of borrowed Pali/Sanskrit vocab."
