Next week On Tuesday 12/13 let’s head to the ocean at John Lloyd Park (AKA: Mizell-Eula Johnson), 6503 North Ocean Drive, Dania, meeting at the concession stand, 9:00am till noon. The $6.00 fee is paid at the entrance, then follow the road across a bridge and plan to park in the first lot to the right. There is an asphalt walkway that leads toward the ocean and to the concession stand that is well known as Whiskey Creek. The last time there I abandoned some art and took these photos.
Invitation from the City of Boca Raton for plein air artists to paint during the event commemorating the opening of Wildflower Park in Boca Raton. The park is located on the northwest side of the Palmetto Park Road Bridge that spans the Intracoastal Waterway.
## Wildflower Park: Location: 551 East Palmetto Park Road
The City of Boca Raton purchased the 2.3-acre parcel of land located at 551 East Palmetto Park Road in December 2009. The park area fronts the Intracoastal Waterway to the east and Palmetto Park Road and the Lucas Douglas Bridge over the Intra-coastal to the south. The property was formerly the site of a restaurant known as the Wildflower and is generally referred to by the community as the Wildflower Property.
The property connects to NE 5th Avenue on the west and is bordered by residential property to the north and commercial property to the southwest. Palmetto Park Road is the City's main downtown east-west thoroughfare connecting the beach to I-95 and west Boca Raton.
