What we’re about

What is tai chi? Here's a description from the Mayo Clinic:

"Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.

Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion."

In this 30 minute class, Rev. Gregory Gibbs will guide participants through a short series of Tai Chi movements for exercise. No prior experience necessary. Please wear loose comfortable clothing and flat shoes. Participants may also perform the movements seated if balance or mobility is a challenge. Free. $5 Donation/class suggested. Free parking. Temple Annex (gym).
