Bouldering @ Portside, Osborne Park
Portside boulders, warehouse e/73 Walters Dr, Osborne Park, 6017, Perth, AULooking for a fun, challenging way to get active? Join us for bouldering β indoor rock climbing without ropes or harnesses. Youβll climb walls up to 5 meters high, getting a full-body workout while solving each route.
Mary, and I host this regular climbing session, and itβs open to all skill levels. I am intermediate, and Mary had been journeying back to intermediate after having her baby. Our drop-in drop-out group are all learning to building strength and technique, so donβt worry if you're just starting out; we all start somewhere. Bouldering is as much about learning technique as it is strength.
No experience needed! First-timers will receive a safety walkthrough by the venue, an online waiver (can be completed at home), and support from us to get started.
Questions? Message via the comments if youβd like one of the organisers to meet you at the entrance. We usually post which wall/area weβre starting on. Mary and I may run late on occasion due to our infant.

10th Year Anniversary Games Night [invitation only]
Victoria Park Community Centre, 248 Gloucester St, East Victoria Park, WA, AU10 years of board games night
This monthβs edition of our monthly games night will be celebrating a significant milestone: 10 years of Activate Mental Healthβs monthly board games night!
From winning a pitch night in June 2016, weβve established and run this monthly board games night at our spiritual home, the Victoria Park Community Centre since August 2016. Apart from a brief hiatus of 3 months in 2018, and COVID in 2020, we have been here on the 4th Saturday of each month.
As this is a significant milestone, we have made the decision to make this event only available to Activate Mental Health members and volunteers by invitation only. We will be prioritising members and volunteers who have been regular attendees of this games nights over the last 10 years.
Expression of interest - Invite to event
We plan to reach out to our regulars first, but if you didn't receive an invite and want to be considered, please fill this Google form below to express your interest to join us on the night. Please note that expressing interest doesn't guarantee your ticket.Google form link - EOI for event ticket.
Donate towards catering costs
We will be doing our annual tradition to bring Krispy Kreme doughnuts to celebrate, which is something weβve done each anniversary year.We are also putting the call out for tax-deductible donations, so that we can get some extra nice catering, decorations and raffle prizes to give out on the night.
