==== Event fee price increase and changes to meetup fees ====
As the room hire fee is going up in price, we are now increasing the ticket price from $7 plus booking fees to $8 plus booking fees.
Meetup has now changed its relationship with PayPal and how they collect money for events. As such, the total cost for purchasing a ticket via PayPal or credit card is $10.17, of which we get $8.08 that covers the entry to the games night.
If you want to pay $8.20 by credit card instead of $10.17, please email hello@activatemh.com.au to receive a secure link via the payment system Square.
==== About the board games night ====
2 weeks into the establishment of Activate Mental Health, group founder Rahul Seth pitched at a local crowdfunding dinner in Victoria Park that was hosted by the Vic Park Collective. Our goal is to connect like minded people with fun and engaging activities so that you create friendships with others to reduce that feeling of isolation. We want you to feel part of our welcoming community and have an avenue where you can improve your mental health and wellbeing in a safe and fun setting.

https://www.activatemh.com.au/volunteer - Silent Book Club - Vic Park Community SpaceVic Park Community Space, Perth
Have you been looking for a book club that doesn't require you to read a specific book or participate in a formal discussion?
Look no further than The Silent Book Club, a global movement that has taken root in our community. Join us for an afternoon of quiet reading in the company of friends and peers. Here's what to expect:
On the last Sunday of every month, we'll gather to read at the old stomping ground of the Vic Park Community Space (1 Miller St, Victoria Park) !
At 2 pm, join us to chat with other readers about what you're currently reading and books in general. If you arrive before 2pm, feel free to grab a coffee from the nearby café (Modus is around the corner on Albany Hwy)
From 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, we'll observe an hour of silence as we read our books together. To signal the end of the reading session, a 55-minute timer will be set.
At 3:30 pm, you're welcome to leave or stay and socialise with fellow book lovers.
This event is set to occur monthly, and we look forward to seeing you there!
