DesertPy is the Phoenix area Python Meetup Group that promotes, educates and advances a diverse Python community through outreach, education, conferences, events and social gatherings. Ask Python questions of any level, beginner through advanced. Make connections with other local Pythonista. Get help with your conference talk proposals. Find others to hack with.

Any Developers, Aspiring Developers, Nerds and Hackers with an interest in Python is encouraged to participate!

Multi-processing, GUIs and Synchronizing music equipment (Online Event) The session will review a project that synchronizes music equipment. The need for high accuracy and low jitter required the use of multi-processing to meet the objectives. Musical equipment can be synchronized with a signal (Midi Clock). The clock requires a high level of accuracy, and low Jitter. Elliot will review the all the timers available in python and share how he evaluated them. The basics of multi-processing in python and lessons learned when multi-processing with a GUI will be shared. Who: Elliot is an advisor on strategy, management and marketing for technology companies. Where: This will be an online event. The zoom link will be shared about 30 min prior to the event.
