Meetings & Board Elections

Hey all Pine Pointers –

I know that we have been having summery weather this past weekend – I hope all of you were able to get out and enjoy it. We have a few things coming up that I wanted to let everyone know about.

TUESDAY – Yes, tonight! is our normally scheduled club meeting at Jak’s Tap. Join us at 7:30 in the Brewery Room to talk about the trips from this past year, summer activities, and places you would like to ski next year (and of course - cheer on the Blackhawks).

TUESDAY MAY 17 – Club meeting and elections for the Board of Directors
Jak’s Tap – 7:30PM

Are you interesting in going to a particular ski area next season? Do you want to do a special summer activity? Then join the Board and help shape what we do!

If you are interested in helping out, but don’t want to be on the Board, we are always looking for people to run an individual event. That could be as simple as organizing a dinner night, Millennium Park concert night, or more complex like a camping weekend.

The more people we have working on things, the easier it is for all of us. Any and all help and input is appreciated.

We are having our third annual Memorial Day bike ride this year. We had a great turn-out for this event, so we will continue it again this year!

We have a great location with lots of space for croquet, volleyball, bocce, and our course a world famous Pine Point BBQ. For biking, we can ride the North Branch Trail as far as we want towards the Botanic Gardens. It’s basically a 26 mile round trip if anyone wants to do the whole distance. Full details will be posted on Meetup and Facebook within a week. The basics are:

Meet at 10:00
Ride starts at 10:30
Grill starts at 1:00 with food coming off the grill about 1:30

Cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members (but don’t forget a summer membership is only $5 – so why not become a summer member?) This covers:
• Food (burgers / dogs / salad / snacks / dessert)
• Drinks (beer / wine / pop / water)

Yes, we are returning to Door County for Labor Day. We have campsites reserved in Peninsula State Park again this year.
