Posing Workshop for Models and Photographers

Details
I'm excited to announce our first "real" workshop. Make sure to schedule time out to attend our posing workshop on Saturday, October 5th from 10am to 1pm in Denver. This is a workshop for both models and photographers.
One of the most challenging aspects for those of us who are new to portrait photography is posing. How do you strike a dynamic and flattering pose? How do you emphasize strengths and minimize weaknesses? What do you do with those hands? And more specifically for photographers, how do you direct a model's posing?
The first photo shoot I did was a lingerie/swimsuit shoot with a group of very experienced photographers and models. It was intimidating to say the least. I was shooting one on one with the models and they expected some direction. The best I could come up with was, "Try putting your hand on your hip?" It was excruciatingly painful not knowing what to do. I wish I would have started off with a posing workshop.
So I've hired Robin Johnson to lead a posing workshop. She'll be instructing from 10am to 12 noon. You'll see how she poses couples, a plus size model and a more experienced model. Then from noon to 1pm, we'll break into groups and practice what we've learned. The focus is on fashion/commercial shooting rather than family or weddings. We'll do some shooting with natural light and some posing with studio lighting.
Because of the nature of this workshop, attendance will be strictly limited to 18 photographers. There will be a small fee of $39 to cover the cost of the studio space, the instructors fee and an honorarium for our demonstration models.
Models, I will waive the admission fee for you as I want to make sure that we have a good photographer to model ratio. I can take about six models for this workshop. This is a learning experience that will not only give you posing ideas, but will also give you a better sense for what photographers are looking for and how to pose to give them the best possible shots. If you are a model who wants to attend, send me an email or DM me on Intstagram (https://www.instagram.com/upsidebrownphotography) and I'll confirm with you. Only schedule with me if you plan to show up.
Location: RAW Photographic Studios, 3777 Quentin St, Denver, CO. I have the entire building reserved for us, so there are lots of spaces to shoot in.
