Chicken Butchering & Holistic Poultry Keeping

This workshop is designed for backyard chicken owners who are seeking how to technically and spiritually close the cycle of a bird's life with humane slaughter.

Topics covered in this 2.5 hour session include:

-General Chicken-Keeping, and their role in Permaculture systems

-Chicken health, nutrition, and care

-Catching and handling chickens

-Humane slaughtering, plucking, and eviscerating

-Packaging for freezer storage or preparing directly for the table

There will be time for Q&A and a more in-depth look at specifics following the workshop.
