    James Murray

👤 - James is a seasoned Product Leader with over 20 years of experience spanning product management and technical roles, including 12 years in product and 8 years in engineering. His expertise lies in API-first products, data lakehouse architectures, and machine learning powered platforms.

He combines strategic product leadership with deep technical understanding and a hands-on approach to execution in complex digital environments. James has led end-to-end product development lifecycles, from discovery through to delivery, for scalable, data-centric platforms that balance strong governance, performance, and business outcomes.

His leadership style focuses on empowering cross-functional teams through clear vision, agile practices, and data driven decision-making. With experience managing distributed teams across the UK, Europe, India, China, and North America, James has consistently delivered user-focused products in high-scale, regulated environments.

📢 - When introducing AI into your product or building an AI-driven solution, success doesn't begin with algorithms — it starts with clarity. Define the problem first, then ensure your data is prepared to address it. Let's examine what this means in practice, the realities of AI and data readiness, and the strategic priorities your organisation should focus on.

    Morgan Patzelt

👤 - Morgan Patzelt is a product leader, executive coach, and founder of Unstall, a practice that helps startups and scale-ups align their strategy, people, and product to build with clarity and momentum.

Recently moved to Cardiff from Canada, she spent nearly a decade at a global EdTech startup leading teams through funding rounds, pivots, and a company rebuild post-layoffs.

Morgan also co-created the University of Alberta’s Software Product Management Specialization on Coursera and is ICF-trained in executive coaching. She’s passionate about the future of work, AI’s role in product development, and helping founders build better, more human-centric companies.

📢 - Morgan Patzelt is a product leader from Canada who spent the last decade riding the startup rollercoaster: COVID hypergrowth, rapid scaling, layoffs, and rebuilding from the rubble. Eventually the burnout won. She quit her job, packed up everything she owns, and ran away to Wales - which is why we’re lucky enough to have her here to share the experience and talk about what nobody mentions in product: the specific way this role can destroy you.

It’s not the hours. It’s the floating. Every task hovering around you with equal weight - interview users, update docs, check with stakeholders - everything and nothing is urgent at the same time. It’s deciding all day while pretending to be energized for the team. It’s leading people who don’t report to you. It’s opening any app and immediately thinking about how to make it better because you literally cannot turn off your brain.

This workshop names what you’re feeling and gives you an approach to navigate it. Not generic “self-care” advice. An actual framework you can return to when the darkness creeps back in.
