ProductTank is a global network of meetups for product people, by product people, and provides an opportunity for Product Managers in Cayman Islands to exchange ideas and experiences about Product Design, Development and Management, Business Modelling, Metrics, User Experience and all the other things that get us excited.
Events include talks from guest speakers on topics around product management, networking opportunities, and a good old-fashioned chin-wag over a beer or two.
We're open to companies big and small. We also welcome early-stage technology businesses looking to learn how to get their ideas off the ground.
We are looking forward to hosting the next ProductTank Cayman Islands and very happy to welcome Nery and Ritwik as our presenters.
Nery will be talking about two different topics.
1. A product case study about his new venture bento.ky, the only mobile app that allows ordering food in the Cayman Islands.
2. Flutter, a new multiplatform framework created by Google which allows developers to create apps for Android & iOS with a single code base.
Nery will guide us through how he started his venture, hardships of signing up new restaurants, unique growth hacking techniques, and lots of lessons on how Flutter can not only speed up the process to develop apps, but also the advantages of keeping one single code base that works in different platforms.
Nery is a Senior Android Developer at Uniregistry.com. Nery was born in Brazil. With a degree in Game Development, he created his first app during college, and never stopped working with mobile development since then.
Ritwik will share lessons learned from two product case studies.
1. Story of launching Real Vision TV apps with an agency to bringing it in-house. Challenges, benefits and why they did it.
2. Which way to go when it comes to native app vs service that converts your web application to IOS/Android apps.
Ritwik works with Real Vision and manages the delivery and maintenance of mobile apps, TV apps, OTT and distribution partnerships along with being a QA lead.
We are keen to also spend time getting to know our network and making new connections on Tuesday 3rd March 2020.
