What we're about

ProductTank is a global network of meetups for product people, by product people, and provides an opportunity for Product Managers in Milton Keynes to exchange ideas and experiences about Product Design, Development and Management, Business Modelling, Metrics, User Experience and all the other things that get us excited.

Events include talks from guest speakers on topics around product management, networking opportunities, and a good old-fashioned chin-wag over a beer or two.

We're open to companies big and small. We also welcome early-stage technology businesses looking to learn how to get their ideas off the ground.

We also have a blog and encourage the community to get engaged by commenting on or writing new posts for https://www.mindtheproduct.com

Finally, check out our annual conferences in San Francisco, Singapore, and London: https://www.mindtheproduct.com/conferences

With speakers Elaine Lingyan Weng and Mike Doherty, followed by Lean Coffee

For the very first Product Tank in Milton Keynes we will be welcoming two guest speakers, Elaine Lingyan Weng and Mike Doherty. COFFEE IN A CAN, FROM IDEA TO MARKET - Elaine Lingyan Weng Working with Mondelez, JDE and now Costa Coffee; Elaine has spent over a decade bringing innovative new coffee drinks to the market. In this talk she will share the idea to market process for Costa’s new ‘coffee in a can’ - a ready-to-drink coffee range born as the result of Coca Cola’s recent acquisition of Costa Coffee. The talk should open great opportunities for us to compare and contrast an FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) product with those in the software world. MOST POWERFUL 'P' IN PRODUCT. PROBABLY - Mike Doherty Product people: Passionate, visionary yet pragmatic personalities ensuring prioritisation and purpose to generate profit through perfect product-market fit. Typically we have no direct power, influencing personalities only with our propositions. Creating a culture of high performance whilst not pandering to picky stakeholder parties. Ensuring avoidance of agile 'points parties' to promote focus on practical outcomes. We use a variety of principles, practices and processes to ensure our perfect products are ready for prime-time; planning, pitching, promoting, to generate profits for our portfolios or platforms. Through the story of an Enterprise B2B SaaS product portfolio, Mike will share with you what he feels is the most powerful 'P' to ensure success for your product. Probably. LEAN COFFEE Following the speakers, we will also be facilitating a '"Lean Coffee", a simple yet powerful technique to encourage discussion and generate insight. Simply put, the format is as follows: 1) Setup a Personal Kanban 2) Identify what you want to talk about 3) Vote and discuss That’s it! We will use the output of the Lean Coffee to help us with ideas for future ProductTank Milton Keynes events.
