ProductTank provides an opportunity for Product Managers in Oslo to exchange ideas and experiences about Product Design, Development and Management, Business Modelling, Metrics, User Experience and all the other things that get us excited. Events include talks from guest speakers on topics around product management, networking opportunities, and a good old-fashioned chin-wag over a beer or two. We're open to companies big and small. We also welcome early-stage technology businesses looking to learn how to get their ideas off the ground. We also have a blog and encourage the community to get engaged by commenting on or writing new posts for http://www.mindtheproduct.com
Is your product defined more by the technology it's built on or by the problem it solves? Have you caught yourself talking more about the building blocks than the users? Are you looking for ways to have better conversations in your company about how to delight your users with technology rather than it getting in the way? Join us this month for an online interactive session with Dr. Keir Williams, a university lecturer who uses technology as a delight factor. He'll talk about his artworks and creating collaborative spaces, and lead us through some discussions to challenge our thinking around our assumptions of technology's role in our products.
Thank you to Microsoft for sponsoring this month!
Dr Keir Williams is a creative technologist, educator and researcher. Underpinning his approach to all three is a philosophy that recognises the potential for art, design and technologies to make and take on practical and effective roles in wider society and culture. His work is premised on collaboration and the creation of participative structures and spaces where people can learn, create and be entertained. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Design Thinking at the University of Bristol's Innovation and Entrepreneurial center.
