ProductTank provides an opportunity for Product Managers in Toronto to exchange ideas and experiences about Product Design, Development and Management, Business Modelling, Metrics, User Experience and all the other things that get us excited.
Events include talks from guest speakers on topics around product management, networking opportunities, and a good old-fashioned chin-wag over a beer or two.
We're open to companies big and small. We also welcome early-stage technology businesses looking to learn how to get their ideas off the ground.
Last event of the summer! We intend to give you guys some time to bring forth any announcements and shoutouts (recruitment, cool events you think everyone can benefit from etc) you have before the talk this month so if you have anything you'd like to share, shoot Sasi a message :)
Why Admitting Ignorance the Key to Success as a Product Manager
- Lessons from “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind” by Yuval Harari
In the 15th and 16th centuries, the British and Europeans drew empty maps, indicating that they were admitting ignorance of the knowledge of their world, and were not fearful in sending forth expeditions to conquer new and distant lands. The Persians, Asians, Romans – the superpowers of that time drew maps with such imaginary detail because they thought they knew everything there is to know about the world. Hence, how can we as Product Managers draw empty maps and admit ignorance to fearlessly go forth and explore?
